Everyone has a limit. And now, it seems even our keyword boxes do. Yes, in order to be more inline with industry standards, Bigstock is now limiting the amount of keywords to 50 per image. Which is still a whole lot of keywords, really.
Why the change, you ask? Contributors choosing the most relevant words for their uploads will help our customers discover their images more easily, and give our customers a more precise search experience. Stronger keyword selections by our contributors means stronger, more relevant search results for our customers. Everybody wins.
So, whenever you enter fewer than seven or more than fifty keywords, you will now this advisement: There must be between 7 – 50 unique keywords. (See below.)
This new limit also means that you will not be able to submit your images until you have entered keywords within this required range.
While we’re on the subject of keywords, just some friendly reminders:
- Separate each keyword with a comma or semi-colon.
- Ensure that all keywords are in English.
- Enter metadata with a QWERTY keyboard, without accent marks or special characters.
If you have any questions about this change, please send us an email at support(at)bigstock(dot)com. Thank you.
