This is one of the newer bridges of Amsterdam, built in 2001. The Python Bridge went on to win the International Footbridge Award in 2002.

They sit along lush green landscapes and were once an omnipresent part of life in Holland. And though there were once 10,000 windmills all over the Netherlands, only eight remain in Amsterdam.
