ab testing

Testing is a big part of our culture here at Bigstock. We love trying out new ideas to see what works – and what doesn’t. I’d like to take a minute to share with you a bit more about what we do and what you might notice on our site.
Generally, when we have something new we want to test, like a new function or even a new button location, we’ll release it to a percentage of our users – and compare the results against our existing version or format. This “A/B” testing approach is used by many Internet companies, including Amazon and Google. This method of testing helps us see what users are positively responding to, and also helps us decide between competing options.

For example, we recently redesigned our search results and released it in an A/B test. The new page was designed to help you view images more easily, and the test allowed us to see if we had actually achieved this goal.

While we don’t announce our tests ahead of time, we will let you know about any major changes that make it though the testing period and onto the website permanently.

As always, we love to hear from you. If you have questions about anything including testing at Bigstock, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
